The Foundation is supporting the research work of a post-doctoral fellow as part of the TOPAZ project, led by INRIA at the University of Bordeaux, which aims to demonstrate the positive impact of personalized attention training through the use of artificial intelligence on elderly subjects with mild cognitive impairment.

The Foundation is funding the AUMASMART project’s research, which aims to study the links between the autonomy of patients with Alzheimer’s disease and smartphone usage data, via the use of an algorithm, in order to identify predictive markers of autonomy and the onset of psychobehavioral disorders, with the aim of offering more personalized care.

The TAP_DLB research team, led by Erwan Bézard, has observed that the location of the onset of Lewy body pathology has an impact on the type of disease developed by patients suffering from neurodegenerative disease, i.e. Parkinson’s disease or Levy body dementia.

The Foundation supports the research work of Emma Perrot’s thesis, aimed at understanding the development of anxiety in people suffering from Parkinson’s disease by determining the functional role of the Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide secreted by single neurons which may be at the origin of the development of non-motor symptoms, such as anxiety.
